USS Liberty shipwreck Scuba Diving
First wreck diving ever and it was awesome. We will come back for sure. Very beginner friendly and an abundance of beautiful marine life.
Went there several times and although it doesn’t look like a ship mostly, it became a nice reef and has a huge variety of creatures living there.
A night dive at the wreck is really impressive, if you have the chance to do one, go for it!
Dove the wreck twice, freediving during the day and a tank dive at night. Night dive was really nice with flashlight fish (bioluminescence) and a huge Napoleon fish. Let’s Dive Tulamben is the dive shop I’d recommend.
I did a couple of dives here with Diving Candidasa, and could not have asked for a better location for my first wreck dive. With a shore entry, it makes for a easy beginning to the dive, and the abundance of wildlife visible around the wreck was astonishing (including turtles, trigger fish and seahorses to name a few) . The current can be a little bit daunting and does dictate where you can go at different points in the day, but even for a relatively inexperienced diver such as myself it was easy enough to adjust as necessary.
